SUNKEY (ver unknown) Abandoned Freeware SUNKEY is a data entry program that accepts Sunspot Count observation information and outputs in a format useable by the American Association of Variable Star Observers (AAVSO) Solar Division. Output is a text file with the extension ".RAW". The name of the file will be constructed from the entered AAVSO Solar Observer ID, followed by the 2-digit year and 2-digit month. If no data file with this name exists, it will be created. If the data file name already exists, data will be appended. The data file will be in the same directory as SUNKEY. If a profile text file "SPROFILE.DAT" is not found in the same directory as SUNKEY, you will be prompted to enter data to construct the file. This profile file contains header information appended to the data files. NOTE: You can enter a fake Solar Observer ID if you only use this program for your own purposes. However if you plan on sending the data to the AAVSO, you will need to first acquire an unique ID from the AAVSO Solar Division. Allthough the DOS version is no longer being updated, you can get the latest Windows version from the AAVSO.
